Literature Text

from the brushstrokes
it all comes down
to it, to nothing
from where it came

~

I copy nature
I cannot contain it

  in which we find
  the majesty

~

over old ruins
the sunset
as if we can
discuss
what is ancient

~

following sheep
what takes me
down this trail?

~

sitting at the beach
everything is here
nothing matters

~

even the rains
and wind are
at odds with one
another
by their positioning

~

"I always wanted
 to go
but I never could"

a packed trunk
 and a ticket

~

Hazy Cathedral Painting

you have ghosted out
 the scene
so often do we forget
even reality
 is only here
for a moment

~

speckled light
on these steps
appears as fallen leaves
 what differences
have either
 upon my reflections

~

What is life itself?

My dear,
 you are standing in it.

~

boat shadows
 have lives of their own
barely noticed
 but we should
 such hidden depths!

~

Claude Monet,

You hurt me. You
hurt me by how
you capture beauty.

It might well be
the only time I
could ever say
to experience such hurt
is to 'know' beauty.

~

you try to paint
 silence,
waiting with it,
 and you do paint,
but of silence,
 it paints all.

~

layers
 and layers
and layers

and you saw
 within
 and without

as they say
 when you see that
 which is true

everything is perfect
From my notebook when viewing an Impressionists collection touring from Boston museum.
